The countdown to our first domestic summer residency continues: t-minus 10 weeks til our first day! Time to introduce our third visiting writer and speaker (and our Keynote Speaker for the residency) Camille Dungy.

Camille Dungy (a poet) will be giving a reading, open to the public, on July 15th in the Noel Studio Discovery Classroom at 1:45 in the afternoon. Her Keynote Address, a closed event, will be held later that evening.

Amy Greene: Novelist

With only three months until Bluegrass Writers Studio's first Domestic Summer Residency begins, it's time to introduce another visiting writer.

Amy Greene (a novelist) will be giving both a craft lecture and a reading on July 13th!

Amy Greene is the New York Times bestselling author of Bloodroot (Alfred A. Knopf, 2010) and Long Man (Alfred A. Knopf, 2014). Her first novel, Bloodroot, won the 2010 Weatherford Award for Fiction. Her second novel, Long Man, won the 2014 Willie Morris Award for Southern Literature and was named a Best Book of the Year by both the Washington Post and the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Both novels were New York Times Editor’s Choice picks. Her articles and essays have appeared in Glamour Magazine and the New York Times, among other publications. She has lectured on writing and conducted writing workshops across the country.
